The
following list has been compiled from the one "blueback" and
42 "greenback" volumes for Hampshire and incorporates
all listing amendments to date.
It
covers all mills and water or wind-powered machinery and
also includes steam-powered mills but excludes
animal-powered machines.
Sites
have been included if there are significant remains of the
mill and where these would be covered by the existing
listing entry even though the mill may not be listed
in its own right.
There
appear to be 99 mills in the county that are currently
protected by being listed comprising 91 at grade II
and 8 at grade II*.
