QUIZZICAL CORNER

Here are the answers to the Autumn brainteasers..........
 

1.   The photographs were all of Greywell Mill.  Now a residential dwelling, new tenants were being sought on my most recent visit. – Ed.

2.   The French term “meuniere” means “miller’s wife” as she frequently prepared fish caught in the mill leat by dusting them with flour.

3.   The full quotation is: “Hair grows in the palm of an honest miller’s hand”!

1.  Andy Fish took this photo at The Museum of East Anglian Life.  Can you guess what it is?

2.  A Hampshire mill hosted the young Princess Elizabeth and Prince Phillip on their wedding night.  Can you name that mill?
