More ‘millstones’ at Stanage Edge, Derbyshire (SK 251830)

This site is quite near to the more well-known and much photographed pile of stones below Millstone Edge at Surprise View (SK 228848).  Although often called ‘millstones’ it is now thought that these final batches were destined to be used as crushing stones for wood pulp.
